Did you know there are Slot Canyons in Joshua Tree National Park? Joshua Tree National Park has some of the most beautiful and landscapes in Southern California and is home to world class bouldering and hiking trails. One of the most unique trails in the park will bring you to a hidden slot canyon.
The slot canyons, also known as the Hall of Horrors, can be difficult to find as they are nestled within the beautiful granite rocks. This is a very popular area for rock climbers but you can get here with a quick 15 minute walk.
How to find the Joshua Tree National Park Slot Canyon Trail:
Park at the Hall of Horrors lot and start walking on the path. You will see a large mountain of boulders in front of you. Walk to the left around this set of rocks until you see the second set of boulders. As you approach this new set of boulders you will see a little path way where you will have to traverse upwards to find the entrance way. You will need to climb down two rocks to get to the floor of the narrow slot canyon.
This area makes for unique photos and is a quick and easy stop in Joshua Tree National Park.
