Grand Hyatt Kauai, a perfect hotel review

No vacation to Kauai would be complete without booking a stay at one of Kauai's best hotels; The Grand Hyatt. Located on the southern shores of Poipu Beach, the Grand Hyatt is a perfect place for a vacation. With lush tropical landscapes, huge pools, lagoons, and direct beach access, you will never need to leave the resort. However, if you are looking for adventures, check out the Kauai Travel Guide for everything you need to do and see for planning your next trip.

Location

The resort is located on Poipu Beach and is much closer to everything compared to the resorts in Princeville. The resort is a short drive to the Airport and other main attractions on the island like the Na Pali Coast.

The Property

The resort features one of the best pool areas with a 1.5 acre salt water lagoon, a 150 foot waterslide, tiers of pools surrounded by waterfalls and beautiful black lava rocks, and koi ponds. Additionally, there is a beautiful championship golf course, spa, and tons of dining options.

The hotel sits on Shipwreck Beach which has been the scene for many Hollywood Movies. You will also find the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail which is a beautiful coastline path for a good walk to start your day or to watch the sunset.

Food & Beverage

Start your day off right at the Breakfast Buffet.

Tidepools is the resort's premiere restaurant and for good reason. Be sure to book a dinner reservation ahead of time!

Stevenson's Sushi is a great restaurant for Sushi and Cocktails.

Sit in your cabana or lounge chair and enjoy food delivered directly without moving a finger.

Kauai is one of the most beautiful islands in Hawaii and the Grand Hyatt is the perfect place to book when planning your trip.

Rooms and Suites

The rooms and suites are beautiful and spacious. We stayed in a suite which had a beautiful balcony with an ocean view. The property is very big which means you may have to walk a lot depending on your room location but they is hardly a complaint when you’re staying in paradise.
